Das hat mit Pegel nichts zu tun, das ist das Wahrschauhäuschen an der Einfahrt des Stichkanals zum Karlsruher Rheinhafen.
In dem erkerartigen kleinen Vorbau saß der Wahrschauer, damit er nach drei Seiten freien Ausblick hatte.
